This painting was done from a viewpoint adjacent the VFW Hall on Main Street (First) in Snohomish. I like the way the river meanders through the farmland, and River Road itself is a pleasant drive.
One of the paintings from Kla Ha Ya Park was chosen by a former United States Ambassador to Moldova, Asif J. Chaudry, as part of the Art in the Embassies program. The painting was on loan for three years, and hung in the embassy in Chişinău from 2008 to 2011.
My most recent painting is unfinished, and was done looking at the same railroad bridge, but from a much closer vantage in Cody Park, Snohomish. I'll probably finish it in the studio, because of the pandemic.
