The Art Spirit Gallery Of Fine Art
I am pleased to announce that I will have work represented by The Art Spirit Gallery, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The Art Spirit is one of the premier venues for exhibiting, viewing and acquiring art in the region, and represents some of the finest artists in the Pacific Northwest. |
I was born in the tiny town of Spirit Lake, Idaho, and spent my first 7 years there. My family visited Couer d'Alene often when I was growing up in Spokane. In many ways this is a return home.
Gallery Hours: June - September: Daily 9 - 6 October - May: Wednesday - Sunday 11-6

I have a painting hanging in the current exhibition of portraits at Cascadia Art Museum.
From the Cascadia Art Museum's website: "This extended exhibition focuses on the varied approaches Northwest artists have used to portray themselves or other important figures in the Northwest cultural community over the past one hundred years.
"For this special exhibition, we are including three prominent contemporary Northwest artists; Gary Faigin, William Elston and Aleah Chapin in a dialogue across the decades with their earlier counterparts such as Mark Tobey (1890-1976) and Louise Crow (1891-1968.)"
My contribution, pictured here, is a self portrait that was done from life using a mirror, and was executed in 1979. It was exhibited at First Street Gallery in Soho, NYC, that same year.
I'm excited and honored to be in this show. Curator David Martin is one of the most knowledgable historians of the region's art. The exhibition opened alongside a major exhibition of early Northwest Impressionism and Modernism. It is now showing concurrently with Woodland Reverie: The Art of Helen Loggie and Northwest Sculpture: Five Decades of Form and Innovation Part III.
The exhibition continues until September 29, 2019. Visit the Cascadia Art Museum website for details. |
